The Institute for Conflict Analysis
and Resolution (ICAR) was founded in 1982 by George Mason faculty. ICAR is
a highly respected interdisciplinary institute, consisting of the National Conference
on Peacemaking and Conflict Resolution, Northern Virginia Mediation Service, Program
on Social and Organizational Learning, and offers degree programs for both Ph.D.
and M.S. degrees in Conflict Resolution.
